Nas famílias da classe média brasileira, desde meados dos anosas mulheres jovens ingressavam cada vez mais nas universidades, recebendo influência das mudanças comportamentais que abalavam a juventude na Europa e nos EUA. Além de lutarem para serem protagonistas na vida política, as mulheres passaram a lutar para ter direitos sobre o próprio corpo — incluindo-se aí o direito ao prazer sexual — e pela igualdade civil e respeito intelectual. Occupying the role of subordinated women over the years and since the beginning of civilization suffered oppression and discrimination based on gender and the way society understand their role, because in ancient times society comprised women only as a daughter, future wife and devoted mother. The wife always needed the permission of their husbands to give efficacy to their actions in the civil context. Woman back in times was only the genetic the one who was responsible for their children, however parental authority for it was a subsidiary manner. In the professional area there was no respect, the woman suffered discrimination and were always exploited working above their physical limits for up to 16 hours a day, always receiving wages below the salary compared to man. However, the woman contributed to the growth and development of society and has always been undervalued in the story, which always caused outrage causing them to fight for their rights and especially about work. After great struggles and attempts at improvement and equality, the woman managed to have their rights and duties guaranteed by law, achieving protection at all levels as well as in the workplace. Currently women are entitled to have equal earnings to men, to take up leadership position like so many other rights that the Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil in and the Consolidation of Labor Laws ensure that was not possible before. Durante anos a mulher vem marcando a sociedade com sua perseverança a fim de conquistar seu plaga no mercado de trabalho.

Male culture values involve risk behaviors to health, since the way men perceive and experience their masculinity is one of the most influential shapers of falling sick and dying. The scope of this study was to identify the factors associated with the demand for health services and differences between the sexes by selecting users of health services. The dependent variables were sex of the user cultural indicator and failure to seek out health services. Independent variables included socio-demographic and clinical-epidemiological characteristics. The Prevalence Ratio studied by univariate and multivariate analysis was used in the analysis of the association between variables. The factors associated with non-demand for health services included: being male, hours of operation of health care facilities, working hours of the user and not having any disease. By multivariate analysis the factors facilitating demand for health services protection were: being female aged 26 to 49 years. Effective consolidation of a health care model that questions the contradiction that exists between the epidemiological data regarding men's health and the position of the health services using common sense regarding the apparent invulnerability of men to falling sick is of great relevance.
